Best Bunk Beds For Kids

There was a time when buying a bunk bed was simple; now bunk beds for kids have so many options and designs that it is hard to know where to start.

Of course, you can go for the simple twin over twin in metal or wood. These are still great designs. If you are looking for a bunk bed like this then your biggest decisions will be the materials used and the angle of the steps to the top bunk bed. If you are buying for a young child then I would definitely recommend a design where the steps to the top bunk are more like stairs than a ladder.

However, you do have other options. Firstly, and very popular with the kids there are the bunk beds which are also complete play centres.

These are great for younger kids, but they do have one fundamental problem. What do you do when you kids suddenly decides that they are all grown up and no longer want a ‘kids’ bunk bed? Not a problem if you have a few kids as they will all get to have it as their bed for a while, or if you have lots of kids to stay so it will always be getting used. But there is the risk that you will be buying a new and completely different bed in the not too distant future.

If you are going for the play centre option then we think you should go the whole way with this one, the Coaster Furniture Bunk Bed. This is great fun and quite frankly any kids who gets one of these is going to have an absolutely amazing time!

However, if you are looking for something a bit funky but also hugely practical in the bunk beds for kids department then we recommend this great design, the Mish Mash bed. We like this one because each bed has something appealing about it. Often with standard bunk beds for kids there is a battle for who get the top bunk, but with this design the bottom bunk is as appealing as the top. It is also a good solid design and the steps up to the top bunk are not only angled to be easy to climb, even when sleepy, but they also have a hand rail. All in this is a wonderful design which is bound to please and siblings.

Our final choice is a more traditional bunk bed, but with a special twist. The twist for this design is the amazing amount of style, charm and elegance which the design has incorporated; click here to see the bed. This bed is available in just about any colour you can imagine, and they all look just as good.
